Finally!

Earlier this year, we all got very excited when we discovered that Louis Theroux had joined Instagram.

However, it has been disappointment after disappointment ever since, as he wasn’t posting anything.

That is, until now.

The official Instagram account of documentary-maker Louis Theroux, who recently explored postpartum depression as part of his latest film making projects, posted for this first time yesterday, and we’re delighted.

Louis posted a snap of himself looking awfully excited while attending the BAFTAs.

He also wanted to take the opportunity to ensure fans that it was a legit account.

The snap was captioned:

“Hello Instagram! This really is me, and this really is to be my official Instagram account. I’m new to this (Instagram), so please indulge me with your patience. Bw, Louis.”

And as you can imagine, his followers were only delighted to finally get a post out of him.

“Welcome Louis, big love from the Anstee’s on the coast!” wrote one follower.

Another said: “Very pleased to see your first post and oddly it has appeared whilst I am watching you documentary on mother’s on the edge.”

Then, just hours later, Louis posted for a second time.

He wrote:

“Thanks everyone for the welcome! For the blue tick sceptics – steps to verification are underway. In the meantime – to reassure you that it is indeed me – here I am, standing before you all, wishing you a happy Sunday (with a copy of today’s paper).”

So there you go now lads, Louis Theroux is on Instagram, and we’re ready.
