Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton have stepped out for their first official royal engagement together earlier this week.

The women joined Prince Harry and Prince William on stage at the Royal Foundation’s inaugural Forum in London.

Prince William made reference to the fact that the newest member of the royal family was there.

“We’re particularly happy that it’s our first Royal Foundation Forum with Meghan,” he told the audience.

Meghan and Kate made for a striking pair as they sat side-by-side during the discussion.

However, many people couldn’t help but notice that Meghan has already perfected the ‘Duchess slant’.

What’s the ‘Duchess slant’ you ask? Well, it’s the distinctive move where the ladies’ knees and ankles are joined firmly together and the legs are slanted to the side, creating a flattering silhouette.

Very elegant, indeed.

The move was coined by Beaumont Etiquette after Kate appeared to adopt it soon after she married William. Princes Diana was also a fan of it.

Both Kate and Maghen matched for the event, with the former Suits actress wearing a navy trench-style sleeveless dress by American designer Jason Wu, and navy heels while Kate, who is seven months pregnant, donned a royal blue empire line number.
