Bláthnaid Treacy has taken maternity leave earlier than planned due to a health issue.
Mum-to-be Bláthnaid Treacy explained that she has been suffering from sciatica. The condition left the presenter in so much pain that she was left struggling to walk.
Speaking on her Instagram stories, the TV host said:
“I’ve had sciatica so I had to leave work a week early because I literally couldn’t walk.”
The mum said she has been taking things easy since stepping back from work.

“I’ve been taking it easy and the major sting pain is gone which is great. So I’ve been just doing a few little bits,” she continued.
She added, “I got a massage. I got a little bit of reflexology done and that actually does seem to have done the trick which is great.”
“I am the waddliest waddler that you’ll ever see. If you do see me walking around just don’t laugh at me because I’m like a duck waddling around,” she said.
Bláthnaid’s due date is just around the corner.
The mum-to-be is pregnant with a baby girl. However, she was convinced she was expecting a boy.
Bláthnaid grew up with only one sister and the rest brothers, and she assumed history would repeat itself.
She announced her pregnancy earlier this year by posting a photo of her cradling her baby bump.
“We can’t wait to meet you. Our little lady arrives this summer. Feeling so lucky and grateful,” she shared.
