People with prosopagnosia often don't recognise their own families, friends, and even their partners. However, there are methods they can use to recognise someone like remembering their voice or their hair. Speaking about the condition, Brad Pitt told GQ that he hasn't been formally diagnosed just yet. Brad Pitt shared, "Nobody believes me! I wanna meet another person with prosopagnosia." The Fight Club actor explained that people think he is being rude and disrespectful when he doesn't remember them, but there's actually a medical reason for it. He previously told Esquire, "So many people hate me because they think I'm disrespecting them. The Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star said: "You get this thing, like, "you're being egotistical. You're being conceited." But it's a mystery to me, man." There is currently no treatment for prosopagnosia, but researchers are constantly investigating the rare condition. Training programmes are in development. The aim of them is to help people with this condition and improve their facial recognition.
