Downton Abbey star to appear on The Late Late Show this week

A sporting hero, a musical icon, and Robert De Niro’s right leg. No, we’re not messing.

Here we are again, folks. Another week, another Late Late Show.

The march towards the Toy Show continues on, with applications for audience members now open.

But until then, there are a whole host of guests to entertain you this weekend.

Following her gold medal win at the European Championships, Kellie Harrington will be talking to Ryan about her journey to becoming the GOAT and the many setbacks and obstacles she overcame along the way.

Hugh Bonneville, star of Downton Abbey and Paddington, will be chatting about his time in the industry, working with Judi Dench and Julia Roberts, discovering that his mother was a secret agent following her death, and the one time he played Robert de Niro’s right leg. No, we’re not messing.

Supervet Noel Fitzpatrick will appear on the show to discuss his new memoir, as well as recent difficult years in his life both personally with the passing of his mother Rita, and professionally with the impact of Covid on his business.

Ireland’s greatest country music export, and the latest TikTok star, Daniel O’Donnell will also make an appearance.

Also on the couch, President of the European Central Bank, Christine Lagarde, will join Ryan on Friday to talk about interest rates, the Irish economy, and her career.

And finally, Paul Heaton and Jacqui Abbott from The Beautiful South will appear to perform their new single, as well as a Beautiful South classic.

And that’s your lot for this week’s episode of the Late Late Show.

The Late Late Show is on RTÉ One on Friday, October 28th at 9.35 pm.
