Meghan Markle wanted clarity and guidance.

Meghan Markle visited Princess Diana’s grave to seek guidance, Prince Harry has revealed.

The prince’s memoir Spare is set for release on January 10th, but snippets of the book have been released ahead of its publication date.

In an excerpt from his memoir, Prince Harry revealed Meghan visited Diana’s grave on her 20th anniversary.

It was 2017 when Meghan visited her mother-in-law’s grave.

The prince revealed Meghan rowed out to the island where his late mother is buried.

Harry realised that Meghan wanted to spend some time alone at his mother’s grave so he decided to give her some space.

Harry writes;

“When I returned, she was on her knees with her eyes closed and her palms flat against the stone.”

The Duke said she asked his mother for “clarity and guidance” during the visit.

Following their engagement, Harry revealed that his mother and Meghan would’ve been “as thick as thieves”.

He believed the pair would’ve got on extremely well.

Harry and Meghan honoured his late mother by naming their second child, a baby girl, after her. Their daughter is called Lilibet Diana.
