A ground-breaking show.

Today is a landmark day for children’s television in Ireland when young people will unite in a spirit of inclusion to enjoy the broadcast of the very first episode of Dizzy Deliveries on RTÉjr.

The brand-new homegrown TV series for children, created by Macalla in collaboration with Lámh for RTÉ, is centered around the Lámh signing system.

The show features young people with Down syndrome, autism, and communication difficulties, who use Lámh to support their communication and self-expression.

Lámh is simple to learn and simple to use, employing approx. 600 keyword signing language.

The vibrant Dizzy Diaries is a dynamic thirteen-part drama series for children featuring 13-minute episodes.

The show follows accident-prone delivery guy Joe and his robot assistant Ozzy and Aisling.

Viewers join Joe on his zany adventures delivering packages across Ireland.

Viewers will meet children who use Lámh, and focus on specific signs, bringing Lámh signs to life as the drama unfolds.

Dizzy Deliveries helps audiences to add Lámh to their own vocabulary in a fun and interactive way. All the wonderful young people featured in Dizzy Deliveries either use or have used Lámh in their everyday lives.

The series aims to ensure equal and inclusive on-screen representation for the nation’s children with disabilities.

The launch of Dizzy Deliveries also coincides with National Lámh Day. The initiative from Lámh aims to encourage the nation to use Lámh to say “Hello!”.

The first episode of Dizzy Deliveries will air on RTÉjr on Wednesday, October 19th at 09.50 am.

The show repeats at 12.10 pm and 4.30 pm each weekday thereafter.
