A brand new state resource for parenting has just launched

Supporting Parents is your one-stop-shop for factual, useful information.

As rewarding (and challenging) as raising children can be, we could all do with a little bit of support and advice every now and then.

From navigating the newborn stage to tackling the toddler period to supporting your child through adolescence and beyond, we’re often left questioning our approaches and hoping we’ve made the right decisions for our children. However, there’s a lot of parental advice to sift through out there, but we don’t always have the time to discern if the information we read is trustworthy and reputable.

To assist parents and carers at all stages, the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth’s Supporting Parents initiative has just launched a one-stop resource for Ireland’s parents. This wide-ranging repository is loaded with factual information and quality resources that is accessible to all parents at every step of their journey.

Supporting Parents is also continuously updated, ensuring parents that the information they receive is up-to-date and accurate. The department’s social media channels also regularly share timely information on local initiatives, keeping parents nationwide in the loop.

Here are some of the areas covered by Supporting Parents’ online resource:
