Who doesn’t love a heartwarming viral video featuring a child hearing some good news?
Even if it’s not really your thing, you’d have to be made of absolute stone not to to feel teary over a little girl finding out that she’s being adopted.
Paige Zelzuka, a foster mum from Pennsylvania in the US, has shared a clip of the moment she and her husband Daniel told their daughter that they were becoming her ‘forever’ parents.
For the girl’s birthday, the couple gave her a box. Inside was a note that told her she was going to be adopted.
Reading it aloud, she burst into tears.
“This will be my favorite video I ever share. This was the day we told our daughter that we were going to be able to adopt her (and her brother and sister)!” Paige wrote on Facebook.
“She had been praying to be adopted and we found out on her birthday that it was going to happen!”
Paige explained that her children had been waiting a long time for a permanent family.
“Our kids spent 1,128 days in foster care, over 3 years. It is so hard on children to live in such uncertainty.
“Adoption is amazing and we want others to know that adopting older children and sibling groups can be the most beautiful adventure you could ever have!”
