Gwyneth Paltrow talks co-parenting and is refreshingly real (for once)

Gwyneth Paltrow sat down to talk to a group of bloggers at a conference in New York last week, and shocked us all when she actually said something relatable.

The actress who ‘consciously uncoupled’ in March 2014 isn’t exactly known for being sound (did anyone catch her guide to yawning, recently?), but speaking about her split from Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, and the reality of co-parenting, she was refreshingly ‘normal’ for once.

She admitted, “It’s been hard, and you know, we’ve gone through really difficult times with it but we’ve always said, ‘These children are our priority, so what that really means is, ‘Even though today, you hate me and you never want to see me again, like, we’re going to brunch, ’cause it’s Sunday and that’s what we do. That’s what’s happening. The children are our commitment.

“It’s definitely imperfect, but it gets easier with time,” she added.

I’m sure most mums and dads who co-parent will actually agree with her (for once). We are definitely liking this more real and less perfect version of Gwynnie.
