6 Baby Products That Have Other Uses

HerFamily

As mums, we’re multitaskers and we love finding something that has more than one use because it basically makes our lives easier.

But did you know just how many of the baby/pregnancy products that you have in your home can be used for other purposes other than what they’re designed for?

Neither did we until we looked into it and now we’re bringing you some of them. (Feel free to tell us yours in the Facebook comments.)

Baby Shampoo is ideal for washing your dirty makeup brushes. All you have to do is wet the brush, pour some baby shampoo into the palm of your hand and swirl the brush around. Once clean, rinse, pat with a towel and leave to dry completely.

Nipple Cream is brilliant for solving the problem of chapped lips. Due to its moisturising qualities, nipple cream will help to repair and protect very dry lips. All you need is a little bit and trust us, you won’t go back to normal lip balm once you’ve tried this!

Sudocrem will always have a place in our cupboards (and hearts) simply because it’s great for soothing a lot of ailments such as minor burns, cuts, rashes, acne and eczema. The only thing we don’t like about it is that it usually ends up all over your clothes/bed sheets.

Baby Oil can come in handy if you’ve misplaced your makeup remover because it does exactly the same job. Put a small amount on a cotton wool bud or pad and gently wipe your face clean. It even works on waterproof mascara (which is usually such a pain to get off).

Baby Powder is worth a try if you or someone in your house suffers from smelly feet or shoes. As well as applying to the feet directly, to soak up the moisture, you can sprinkle some into your shoes to help neutralize the odour. It can also be used as dry shampoo on oily hair.

Baby Wipes… is there anything that they can’t be used for?
