We’re listening…

Giving birth is an incredible experience, but it can also be an extremely painful one.

For some mothers, the trauma of birth is so intense that it leaves them wondering whether they could ever do it again.

One mum who had such an experience was Amandine Mangin.

The 29-year-old had had such a painful birth with her firstborn, that she was determined to ensure the same thing didn’t happen when she became pregnant again.

So, Amandine trained herself to enjoy the birthing process and it made the whole scenario feel as if she was having “deep intense sex.”

Intriguing, to say the least.

News.com.au reports that Amandine took a holistic approach to birth, making sure that she practiced yoga, deep breathing, and had regular relaxing massages while she was pregnant.

The mum said:

“We conceive our babies in pleasure, wouldn’t it be normal and natural to bring forth our baby in pleasure?

“Basically it is getting free of old programming and beliefs – such as ‘childbirth is painful’ – and updating my brain with positive affirmations.

“An emotional preparation with meditation, relaxation, visualisation. A spiritual preparation with chanting, and energy-rising tools.”

See? Just chanting, energy-rising, and lots of chilling out – sounds simple enough, doesn’t it?

When it came to the actual birth itself though, Amandine wasn’t just relaxed – she was, to put it simply, orgasmic.

Amandine said it felt like she was having “deep intense sex” but without the sexual element.

She said:

“Feeling free to move, even if it looked like a weird tribal sexy dance, was important for my wellbeing during child birth.

“It is a borderline kind of pleasure. This borderline pleasure we may feel while making love.”

Amandine also said she kissed her husband “passionately” while she was giving birth to ensure that feeling of pleasure remained.

The mum now has two children, five-year-old Alyssia and five-month-old Ilya.

If it works, it works.
