Principal livestreams herself reading so all her students get a bedtime story

Melissa Carton

All children love a bedtime story.

Unfortunately, for one reason or another not every child is guaranteed a story while they’re being tucked into bed at night.

One school principal wanted to make sure that absolutely all of her students were read to before going to bed and she made sure in the sweetest way.

Belinda George of Homer Drive Elementary guarantees that all of her pupils get a bedtime story by livestreaming herself on Facebook once a week.

The principal takes time out of her evening every Tuesday to dress up and pick out a book which she then reads online for her students.

Ms George’s ‘Tucked In Tuesdays’ are loved by her students and those in her local community and have led to the principal’s selfless deed becoming a viral sensation.

Some of the millions of viewers of her videos have even suggested that she starts a YouTube channel so that even more children can her enjoy her incredible bedtime stories.

Not only does Belinda read a story to her young viewers she also reaffirms to them that they are loved and that she thinks that they are all very special.

Ms George’s videos are another example of the wonderful work that educators and teachers do to help inspire the next generation.
