Mum reveals simple hack that helps her toddler sleep through the night

Does anyone remember the last time their toddler slept through the night?

Remember the days when your toddler would doze off to sleep and wouldn’t wake up during the night? Me neither.

Toddlers and sleep are not the best of friends, but one mum may have a hack that can re-introduce peaceful nights into our lives again.

The parenting advice has gone viral on TikTok, but there’s no doubt parents have been trying this out for many years.

In a viral video on TikTok, Allison revealed that giving her toddler a banana before bed has helped her sleep routine.

She told her followers: “This was the most life-changing. If you give your baby a banana before bed then they will sleep through the night.”

“Anyone who knows me knows I’ve had the absolute worst sleeper since the day she was born.

“We’ve started the banana trick, we’re about eight months in, and she sleeps through the night,” the mum revealed.

According to The Sleep Charity, bananas can actually improve sleep because of the magnesium and potassium.

The experts explained: “Bananas are an excellent source of magnesium and potassium which help relax overstressed muscles and make them an ideal go-to snack before bed. They also contain the all-important tryptophan to stimulate the production of those key brain-calming hormones.”

So, there you have it. If your toddler is refusing to sleep through the night then the banana hack may be one to try out.
