What new parent doesn’t dream of a quick kip in the middle of the day? Just 30 minutes of peace during which to lounge around in bed, maybe sip a coffee… read the newspaper?
Well IKEA London may just have come up with the destination of your dreams.
For two days only, the London branch of the Scandinavian homeware giant opened a Breakfast in Bed Cafe in Shoreditch. Opening at 7am, the pop-up café allowed frazzled customers to book a bed, get cosy and wait for a Scandinavian breakfast to be delivered.
The offering grew even more enticing from noon until 3pm when you could reserve a bed for a lunchtime nap.
As if that wasn’t enough, there’ll was sleep-inducing teas on offer, as well as a pillow menu and resident sleepologist to advise on sleeping habits (as if we’d need tips on nodding off).
Here’s hoping IKEA bring the concept to Ireland. Like, today.
