Study Reveals The ‘Perfect’ Age To Get Married

HerFamily

A study has revealed the ‘perfect’ age to tie the knot.

Research, conducted by by sociologist Nick Wolfinger and published in the Institute of Family Studies, has revealed that the ideal age to get married is between 28 and 32.

The reason is that those who fell into this four-year age bracket when they walked down the aisle were found to be the least likely to divorce in the ensuing years.

Two wedding rings on earth

Previously, sociologists believed that the longer you wait to get married, the lesser your chance of divorce, however the new study reveals that once you pass the 32 mark, the chance of divorce increases again.

Nick explained:

“The odds of divorce decline as you age from your teenage years through your late twenties and early thirties.

“Thereafter, the chances of divorce go up again as you move into your late thirties and early forties.”

According to Time, the study found that for each year after 32, the chance of divorce went up by 5 per cent.
