Here are the most popular names for cats and dogs in 2017

Ah, god.

Do you have a dog or a cat?

If you do, they probably have a name.

Generally, when people buy pets they decide to call them something catchy or adorable or a gas human sounding name for the craic.

For example, if you have a dog you might decide to call it Frank because Frank is a hilarious name for any kind of animal.

Similarly, if you’re considering getting a pet anytime soon, you may now be thinking about what you might decide to call said pet.

Picking a name can be a laborious and sometimes even stressful process, so in order to make it all a bit easier, Argos have gone and compiled some handy lists of the most popular names for cats and dogs for 2017.

(Now, this list is UK based which technically shouldn’t really matter but the name ‘Poppy’ features a good bit so geography does actually make a difference when it comes to these things, apparently.)
