When it comes to all the Real Housewives franchises and seasons over the years, we sort of believed we’d seen everything that could possibly shock us.
Well, the latest episode of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City proved us wrong.
No, not because the Housewife who married her step-grandfather (Mary Cosby) is on the outs with nearly every other cast member because they accused her of running a cult church.
Not because the tequila company-owning, Mormon Housewife (Lisa Barlow) revealed she met her longtime husband through him dating her sister.
Not even because the Housewife who fled filming mere minutes before the feds showed up on set looking to arrest her (Jen Shah) made a go for one of her co-stars despite being the subject of a criminal investigation.
Nope, the part of this episode that left viewers reeling instead involved Housewives Whitney Rose and Meredith Marks, Meredith’s husband Seth, and a birthday cake for Seth designed to replicate a pair of boobs. Specifically, Whitney’s boobs.

Though no amount of context would make this any less weird, allow us to try provide some.
Meredith was throwing a birthday party to mark Seth turning 49 after years of not throwing him a b-day bash throughout their marriage issues and almost-separation (which was the main focus of Meredith’s screen time on the show last year).
So naturally, all of her fellow co-stars were invited to the party – with the exception of Jen, who Meredith has declared she no longer wants anything to do with… apart from, y’know, the reality show they star on together.
The ladies showed up with their husbands, who, at a lads’-day-out golf trip a few days prior, had asked Seth what presents they could bring him.
“Cleavage is encouraged,” he had answered, before turning to Whitney’s husband in particular to say, “Just make sure that message gets heard in your house.”
…Yeah.
It was a poolside party which seemingly took place on a rooftop. There were gift baskets containing a black-and-white shirtless selfie of Seth (we assume, if not hope, was done in jest). In the lift up to the party, he told Meredith: “I’m gonna treat you like my second wife all night.”
If you ask us, the couple’s 19-year-old daughter hit the nail on the head when she pointed to the selfie and said, “if ‘midlife crisis’ could be in a photo, that’s what it would be.”
A while into the party, Whitney approached Meredith and Seth holding a cake shaped and decorated as a pair of breasts, with the nipples poking out of the bra.
“I know that you have a certain appreciation for my cleavage,” Whitney continued, and just in case you haven’t yet decided that Seth is The Worst™, the show’s editors backed her up by throwing in a montage of scenes where he’s either talking to Whitney about her boobs, to someone else about Whitney’s boobs, or to his wife about how he wishes she had Whitney’s boobs.
“I thought I’d give you a mouthful so we never have to hear it again,” Whitney told him, holding up the cake.
And in footage I could have gone my whole life without seeing, he proceeded to motorboat the cake-boobs and then lick around the icing-nipples, all while his wife laughed maniacally.
For the most part, the party goers seemed to find it funny. But while there might not have been many cringing on-screen, there certainly was off-screen amongst the show’s viewers.
