A Dublin Café Wants To Sell You A Chocolate Sandwich For Lunch

Katie Mythen-Lynch

They grabbed the sugar-loving nation’s attention last year when they opened the doors to their calorie emporium on Dublin’s Bachelor’s Walk to excited queues.

Now the adventurous folk at Sweet Republic are enticing us back once again, with the promise of a chocolate sandwich.

That’s right; this lunchtime, you can cast aside your chicken roll or BLT and opt for a creation that Willy Wonka himself couldn’t have dreamed up for the Chocolate Factory canteen.

There are two chocolate sandwich varieties available:

The Waffle S’Mores Sandwich: A gooey festival of hot, crispy waffle smothered in your choice of Oreos, Crunchie or Reeses.

choc2

The French Toast S’Mores Sandwich: A moist sandwich of eggy toast stuffed with your choice of chocolate bar or biscuit.

Both sandwiches are also available as savoury Club Sandwich options so essentially you could have one for lunch and another for dessert.

You did not hear that from us.

Like this? You’ll love our miniature Poptarts and Ferrero Rocher cupcakesdonut-topped milkshakes and peanut butter mug cake, the best no-bake fudge squares, oh… and the Nutella ice pop.
