Coleen Rooney has opened up about suffering a miscarriage

Coleen Rooney has been praised for opening up about baby loss for the first time. The mum-of-four has publically spoken about her harrowing loss, saying it was a “horrible experience”.

She said the tragic loss knocked her and her husband Wayne Rooney for six.

Coleen revealed that her first pregnancy ended in miscarriage. She said she was 10 weeks pregnant when she lost her baby.

She told MailOnline: “A horrible experience that knocked Wayne for six, too.”

Rooney also defended her husband’s controversial past and said she will always stand by him.

“Every time he’s gone off the rails, it’s been a stupid, drunken, spur-of-the-moment thing,” Coleen said.

Speaking about their relationship, Coleen said: “My message is if there’s something to work at, if the love’s still there, why would you throw that away?”

She acknowledged that mistakes have been made throughout their time together, but she doesn’t want to carry them into their future.

“Mistakes have happened, but I’ve always known Wayne loved me,” Coleen said.

Coleen Rooney met Wayne when they were 12 years old. The couple have been married since 2008, but have faced many hurdles throughout their time together.

She added, “It’s my decision whatever line I want to go down. I like to think I’m strong enough to say, ‘Enough’s enough,’ or, ‘Let’s continue and go forward with this.”
