The biggest trick to make sure you're able to nod off once you're up in the air is to set your watch to the time zone you'll be landing in as soon as you board.
From there, just make sure that you eat and sleep at what would be the usual times at your destination - even if getting some shut eye around 1pm sounds tempting.
