James Bulger was murdered when he was only 2.

The mother of James Bulger has pleaded with Prime Minister Liz Truss to keep her son’s killer in prison.

Jon Venables has appealed for parole, but Denise Fergus says he is still a danger to society.

In a letter to Prime Minister Liz Truss, the grief-stricken mother said;

“He still poses a serious danger to other families like ours.”

Venables parole hearing is due to take place in a matter of days. According to The Mirror, Denise Fergus has asked the Prime Minister to block the killer’s release.

She believes parole laws should be stricter for dangerous criminals like Venables.

The mum said: “We need the Prime Minister or her new Justice Secretary to step in immediately to make sure my son’s killer stays firmly behind bars where he belongs.

“We are calling on them to, please, intervene now.”

James Bulger was only 2-years-old when he was murdered.

Robert Thompson and Jon Venables were found guilty of killing 2-year-old James in 1993.

However, both murderers have lifelong anonymity because they were minors when they killed him.

Earlier this year, James’s father said his son’s murderers don’t deserve to be protected.

The dad told The Mirror, “He will hear me spell out I want him behind bars for the rest of his life. It will be the first time he will hear the words from my mouth.

“I believe he will always be a danger to young children and he will kill another baby like James.”

“It’s about time the tables turned and he faced real justice at last. No more treating him with kid gloves.”
