“I decided to have a baby by myself”

Jessie J has opened up about suffering a miscarriage during a show in LA.

The heartbroken singer had just found out about her miscarriage the day before but knew singing would help her heal.

She told the audience that 2021 was “the hardest year that I’ve ever had to get through”.

The Price Tag singer explained to her fans that she was told she could never have children.

Despite what doctors told her the singer managed to get pregnant.

“I decided to have a baby by myself and then by a miracle it worked, for a little while, and yesterday… yeah. Yesterday was f*cking sh*t.”

“I wanted to be here tonight because the one thing that I believe in the most, in this whole entire universe […] is being human and being vulnerable and being real.”

“I’ve never felt more alone than I have in the past week. But I don’t feel alone right now,” she told the crowd.

The Domino singer confirmed she suffered a miscarriage in a devastating Instagram post on Wednesday.

“After going for my 3rd scan and being told there was no longer a heartbeat. This morning. I feel like I have no control of my emotions,” she shared.

The 33-year-old added, “I decided to have a baby on my own. Because it’s all I’ve ever wanted and life is short. To get pregnant was a miracle in itself and an experience I will never forget and I know I will have again.”

“I’m still in shock, the sadness is overwhelming. But I know I am strong, and I know I will be ok.”
