Teen in critical condition after car collides with ‘loose horse’

The accident happened before midnight on July 16th.

A teenager is in a critical condition in hospital after his car collided with a loose horse.

The collision took place on the M8 just before midnight on July 16th.

Emergency services, including Gardaí, arrived at the scene just before midnight.

The male driver was taken to Cork University Hospital following the incident.

However, he remains in critical condition.

Gardaí in Tipperary have asked witnesses to come forward.

A Garda spokesperson confirmed that an investigation is now underway.

“A loose horse had entered the motorway and a vehicle collided with it.”

“At approximately 23.55hrs Gardaí were alerted to a serious road traffic collision,” they told The Sun.

“A loose horse had entered the motorway and a vehicle collided with it.”

Anyone who may have witnessed this accident should contact Gardaí immediately.

Gardaí have also asked road users with camera footage to make this available. They also called on those with dash cam footage to come forward.
