A limited edition babygrow has received a winning bid of more than €40,000 (AUD$60,100) in an auction on eBay Australia.
Considered an indispensable baby product by some mums, the zip-up Wondersuit from Australian brand Bonds usually retails at €14 ($21), but is fast becoming a fashion collectable.
“Everyone loves them,” Emily Small, a marketing manager for Bonds, told The Daily Telegraph in Australia. “They are an iconic product and we welcome the demand.
“One sells every three minutes, so the demand is high.”
The confetti print version is now selling for crazy prices on eBay after it reportedly sold out in a matter of days when it was released at Christmas last year.
While we don’t know whether or not the seller of this particular Wondersuit received the amount it reached, we’re sure the story will inspire a few people to clear out their old baby gear. Me included.
