Lauren Goodger has criticised mums who hire childminders while they go to work.
The TV personality said that after reading a story about a hired nanny who pinched and beat the baby she was looking after, she would never choose to go to work over looking after her child.
In a string of tweets, Goodger also said that it was “heartbreaking” to see that some mums opt to leave their children with “strangers.”
She wrote:
“This is why parents should NOT go to work and leave with a nanny! I don’t care what people say.
“No amount of money or career is worth leaving my baby with a stranger! NEVER. It’s heartbreaking to think mums would still do this even after seeing this.”

The former TOWIE star received a lot of criticism from working mums who said that she was “out of touch” with those who had no choice but to hire childminders while they go to work.
One user replied to Goodger saying that the reality TV personality had a “lack of understanding about real life.”
The woman, named Joyce Orr, wrote:
I think your stance on this shows your lack of understanding of normal life. Most people don’t make money from magazine shoots they have to do a 9-5 job to put food on the table. Slamming parents for having to work is no better than slamming people for their weight!

Another made the point that teachers are technically strangers too, and yet, parents need to send their children to school no matter what.
So you wouldn’t send your child to nursery or school? Are the teachers/carers there not strangers? Don’t let the actions of a minority of people tarnish the hard work many childminders/nannies put in!

Another user accused Goodger of “trying to be controversial on purpose” and said that she would never understand the sacrifices working mums have to make.
You’re trying to be controversial on purpose. You have no idea because you don’t have children. Not everyone lives near their parents or has friends that can help them out all the time. Stick to what you’re kind of good at pretending to go to the gym and put videos and pics on SM
