12 Baby Names That Prove That Long Is Oh-So-Lovely

Trine Jensen-Burke

Lately, shorter names, often sporting just one syllable, has been quite the trend among parents when naming their babies.

But we think there is a lot to be said for longer names too, mamas, so don’t shy away from this when selecting a moniker for your brand new bundle. For starters, they are wonderfully versatile, and lend themselves perfect to all sorts of cute nice-names.

If you are still a little unsure, just look at some of our current favourite – and lovely – names:

1. Seraphina

LOVE this name (that Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner also opted for when naming their second daughter!).

2. Jameson

Because James is so done to death by now.

3. Cordelia

How stunning is this name?!

4. Valentino

For all you fashion loving  mamas out there!

5. Felicity

Cute and quirky!

6. Sebastian

Classic and cool.

7. Marielle

8. Maximus

You can call him ‘Max’ or ‘Maxie’ for shorts, obvs.

9. Petronella

We think this name sounds all sorts of IT-girl, and you can shorten it to the adorably cute “Nella” too!

10. Constantine

So sleek.

11. Anastasia

Forget about the “50 shades” reference, we think Anastasia is one chic moniker.

12. Nathaniel

We love how old-school and fabulous this name sounds.
