Maternity occasionwear can be an absolute nightmare.
Dressing your growing bump ain’t easy at the best of times but is especially challenging when you’ve a serious night out or family do and you want to look and feel your best.
Angela Scanlon gave us all a lesson in dressing to impress while growing a human being at a BAFTA event last night.
The Meath native, who’s pregnant with her first child, attended the InStyle EE Rising Star Party in London wearing a €39.95 high street dress.
The mermaid-esque polka dot number is from Zara‘s Woman range and is typical of Angela’s playful personal style, proving you don’t have to confine yourself to the maternity section or forfeit your own tastes while pregnant.
Angela accessorised with a pair of shocking pink satin ankle boots from Italian designer Julia Mays.
The presenter, 34, is due to give birth later this month.
She kept her pregnancy very quiet, announcing it in an Instagram post in November when she was six months along.
“SO. I’ve been baking for 6 months now… and I’ve made a bun!,” she wrote.
“It’s currently in the oven and will be ready by Springtime.
“We are so, SO thrilled (since I’ve taken my head out of the toilet bowl) and can’t wait to welcome a mad, wonderful little human into our world.
*Really hoping he/she is ginger.”
It’s the first child for Angela and her husband Roy Horgan, who she married in 2014.
