Arnotts is opening a Christmas café and it sounds absolutely delightful

Olivia Hayes

It’s safe to say we’re going to be shopping a lot over the next few weeks.

For most of us, when shopping for Christmas presents, the city centre is the place to go (if you’re not doing it all online). It’s town, it has everything.

However, making your way around town can be quite tiring so why not stop for a cuppa coffee in Arnotts’ new Christmas café.

The retailer has officially launched the ‘Oh What Fun’ Christmas Pop-Up Café, which will have some extra special festive favourite treats for both children and adults to indulge in.

The theme of the café is ‘fun and sharing’, so it has teamed up with small Irish artisan suppliers to create imaginative menus for the whole family to enjoy.

The Taste of Christmas menu offer items such as a seasonal soup shooter, turkey and brie mini sandwiches on toasted rye bread, duo of Irish cheeses served with festive chutney and winter berries and a Christmas choux bun and mince pies.

For the kids, the Toy Soldier Selection Box was created especially for them, with a ham and cheese toastie and firm Christmas favourites including gingerbread men, a Christmas cupcake, and a hot milk chocolate bon bon served with steamed vanilla milk and gourmet marshmallow.

The ‘Oh What Fun’ Café is open on Level 2 of Arnotts from Monday to Sunday. For more information, visit here.
