In case you haven’t heard yet, there’s a royal wedding in just a few weeks.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be saying ‘I do’ on May 19, and it turns out their nuptials are having an impact on just about everything.
Including, it seems, what parents are naming their children.
According to The Sun, a recent survey from Emma’s Diary looked at the most popular baby names this spring.
And while there was definitely a floral trend for girls – Daisy claimed the top spot for the second year in a row – Meghan has made its way into the top 20.
Meanwhile, for the boys, Harry is now the most popular name of the season.
Faye Mingo, Marketing Director at Emma’s Diary commented:
“Once again the results from our spring poll show that for girls, the seasonal floral theme is still popular with parents with a scattering of royal favoured names too.
“Harry remains ever-popular with parents too particularly in light of the upcoming royal wedding, interestingly last spring, Harry didn’t make the top 10 list, yet in January this year Harry was the number one most popular name prediction for 2018.”
