Bees, dinosaurs and family yoga

Here are just some of the activities taking place at Dundrum Town Centre’s Fundrum Family Festival:

Dundrum Bee Show – Did you know that there are seven hives of bees on the roof of Dundrum Town Centre? The Centre’s very own Beekeeper, Asheena has been tending to them since 2018, and will be leading a workshop to teach adults and kids more about bees and honey in a fun and light-hearted manner.

Dino Live – Meet and interact with amazingly life-like dinosaurs, Trixie the Giant T-Rex, Terry the Triceratops and Vinny the Velociraptor. You’ll learn some fun interesting facts about Dinosaurs and the Jurassic Era and everything is presented in a theatrical performance that will thrill and entertain kids while stimulating their imaginations.

Family Yoga Classes – You’ll have to get the family up bright and early as this starts at 10 am, but it’s a great way to begin the day as a family! Mats will be supplied for this outdoor event, and don’t worry, there is a covered area in case of rain.

Hip Hop Kids Dance Classes – These free, 45-minute energised classes are led by dancer Rachel Fischer and promise great music and a great atmosphere.

Baby Super Sensory – Specifically designed from birth, to aid your child’s development, the classes are packed with various sounds, smells, sights, textures, music, dance, singing and more. This is a magical, mesmerising and memorable activity for you and your baby or child.

National Clown Orchestra – This is really not to be missed – a small orchestra of clown musicians who play a wide range of musical styles from jazz to cabaret to funk to eccentric music!

ReCreate – Arts and crafts workshops for kids where they can make something that represents their idea of the future using recycled materials.

Jack Wise The Magician – This popular magician is sure to dazzle both adults and children with his mindreading tricks and entertaining card skills.

Sea Horse Aquariums – Back by popular demand, guests can expect a range of exciting and educational talks on marine life, plus the chance to get up close and personal with seahorses, clownfish, starfish and hermit crabs.

Dublin Circus Project – Your family’s chance to learn a variety of circus tricks for all levels of experience, and to have fun while doing it!
