Gogglebox Ireland looking for frontline workers and father and son duos to star in brand new series
Nurses, doctors, guards, others who have admirably served at the frontline in recent months, your five minutes of fame awaits…
Gogglebox Ireland is returning to a TV screen near you this autumn and the team behind the show have a special request for the would-be stars of the new series.
In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, Gogglebox Ireland is looking for frontline workers to star in the new series, with their experience in recent months making them uniquely qualified to discuss news and current affairs and the impact the virus has had in Ireland.
As well as that, the show’s producers have put the call out for the ultimate telly-loving father and son duo to join the show, so if you or anyone you know fits the bill, make sure to take note of the application details below.
Interested parties should email firstname.lastname@example.org with details on who is in their gang, where they’re based, what they like to watch and, if possible, a photo of their gang together, preferably watching TV, of course.
With social distancing now the norm in Ireland, the team behind the show have assured that Gogglebox Ireland will be carried out under strict control measures as issued by the government and the HSE.
Commenting on the new season, David Noble from Kite Entertainment, said: “Things might look and feel a lot different as we head out into the big bad world these days, but despite everything we’ve gone through there’s still nowhere funnier than an Irish living room.
“Nobody is better placed to give us a sense of what’s going on every week than the country’s incredible front line staff so we’d love to see some telly-loving guards or nurses join all our favourite households to give the country a much-needed weekly pick me up from the daily madness that 2020 has thrown at us.”
