We love Prosecco – just look at all of the things we’ve written about it – but it appears our thirst for it could end in tears.
That’s because there is only a finite supply of our favourite fizzy drink.
According to the Sunday People, Prosecco can only be produced in a small region of Italy and the demand for it looks like it will outweigh supply.
Toby Magill, head of beer, wine and spirits at IRI, told the publication: “Supply is finite. Demand is growing everywhere in the world so there’s a limit on what retailers can get their hands on.”
But never fear, there is another Italian bubbly that might tickle your fancy and you can read all about it HERE.
