MAKE: Christmas Cocktails: The Gingerbread Man

Husband and wife team Andy and Grainne Ferreira run Raise the Bar, a boutique pop-up cocktail catering and consultancy company. They live in East Cork with their kids Luka (9) and Ruby Jules (6), catering the coolest events and weddings all over the country.

We asked them to share a few industry tricks to pep up any party:

“Gingerbread is quintessentially Christmas.” says Grainne. “Few flavours symbolise the holidays quite like gingerbread in its many forms, from edible houses to sweet-studded gingerbread men. This is a smashing little Bourbon-based cocktail with ingredients you’ll -find in most good off-licenses.”

Ingredients

50mls of Bourbon
20mls Butterscotch
20mls Stones Ginger Wine
60mls Pressed Apple juice

Method

Pop everything in a shaker with lots of ice and strain into your favourite glass. It’s warm and cuddly in your tummy!
