Flying Tiger urgently recall train toy over choking hazard fears

Jade Hayden

Flying Tiger have issued an urgent recall of one of their toys over choking hazard fears.

The ‘train cart wood with magnet mix’ was recalled today by the popular shop over fears that some of the smaller parts in the product could be swallowed by a child.

The train has been on sale in Flying Tiger stores since November 2018. Over 3,000 units of the product have been sold across the country since that time.

A statement on the CCPC website reads:

“Flying Tiger Copenhagen is carrying out a voluntary recall of its ‘train cart wood with magnet mix’ toy product. The safety concern is that the product contains small parts which may cause a choking hazard for children.

“This recall affects product item number 3010874 [batch number 211693] only, which was on sale at Flying Tiger Copenhagen stores across Ireland since November 2018.

“Approximately 3,293 units have been sold onto the Irish market.”

Customers who have purchased the train are urged to stop using it immediately and keep it out of the reach of children.

The product can be returned to any Flying Tiger store for a full refund.

Alternatively, Flying Tiger’s customer care can also be contacted at customer-support@flyingtiger.com or by using the web form available here.
