Glee star Lea Michele has said she'd be more than happy to be a surrogate if her bff and co-star, Jonathan Groff, ever decides he wants to be a dad.
The pair, who first became friends while starring in Spring Awakening on Broadway in 2006, have opened up about going back to where their friendship began for a one-night-only reunion with the rest of the cast back in November, ahead of a documentary special on the production airing next month.

Since Lea and Jonathan became pals in Spring Awakening's initial run at the ages of 19 and 21 respectively, they've starred in multiple projects together – including
Glee – and have each made their 'big break' off-stage.
Lea gained overnight fame in playing the musical-comedy series' lead for its six seasons and later released several studio albums, while Jonathan went on to voice Kristoff in
Frozen and star in the critically acclaimed Netflix series, Mindhunter.
Lea has also become a mother since they first met, as have some of their other Spring Awakening cast mates.
When
asked by People if being around Lea's 20-month-old son Ever and the kids of his other co-stars gave Jonathan baby fever, he played coy and replied: "Great question!"
"I'll carry your baby. I will," Lea then stated, to which he asked, "You will?"

Lea responded, "Hell yeah! I love being pregnant. It's so much fun."
"Good to know," Jonathan answered.
The declaration actually mirrors the pair's last storyline on Glee – in a flash-forward in the show's final episode, Rachel Berry (Lea) is married to Jesse St. James (Jonathan) whilst pregnant as a
surrogate mother for her married friends, Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) and Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss).

As for how Jonathan would fare as a dad, there's some things he needs to work on. "I have this weird quirk where I scare small children because — this was with my two nieces as well, between the ages of 0 and 2 — I come in hot with the enthusiasm, and it freaks them out," he said.
"This is the case with Ever as well, so I'm slowly trying to play it cool to gain his love and affection back. My one in with him is that he likes 'You'll Be Back' from Hamilton," continued Jonathan, who played King George III in the Lin-Manuel Miranda musical.
"Whenever we FaceTime and Ever's there, I'll be like, 'Da, da, da, da, da!' [I'm] waiting [for] the age when he's going to be able to watch Frozen, and then maybe I'll have another in, but I'm working on it."
