Fans defend Khloe Kardashian's 5-month-old daughter True amid racist comments

Horrible.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan catch the attention of their millions of fans no matter what they do – but one of the youngest family members has been on the receiving end of some upsetting commentary.

Kim shared an absolutely adorable photo of her daughter Chicago, Khloe’s daughter True and Kylie’s daughter Stormi together.

The photo clocked up over seven million likes but among the adoring comments from fans were some pretty racist remarks about the babies, all of whom were born within four months of each other, and in particular five-month-old True.

“I hate that True is so dark, the other two are a nice mix,” one follower wrote. “She’s a cute kid, just too dark.”

“How come they all have a black dads yet True came out more dark then her cousins?” commented another.

“These are not cute babies. Only rich half breed babies,” said a third.

Other fans quickly jumped to defend the babies and condemn the racist undertones to the remarks.

“Ignore these disgusting comments. Beautiful babies and they’re so lucky to grow up together.”

“Just when you thought racism was going away.”

“There is some disgusting comments on here criticizing a baby’s looks! No wonder girls have an image complex!”

“True is beautiful. I’m so sorry you have to see so much hate about your wonderful baby.”

“Imagine coming online to write abusive comments about an actual baby.”

The sisters haven’t responded to the furore but Khloe has in the past hit out at online trolls who have criticised her daughter’s appearance.

Replying to a Twitter user who said that True was “not cute at all”, Khloe asked why someone would “comment on a child’s appearance.”

Incidences like this serve to remind us that ignorance and colourism are alive and well and that we need to have a no-tolerance policy when it comes to hatred.
