She wasn’t too impressed with the school after this incident
One mum was left furious after her child’s preschool let the children watch Harry Potter, despite being way too young for the film.
It’s not exactly a scary movie, but it certainly is for four-year-olds.
The mum expressed her outrage about the incident on Reddit and said the staff failed to inform parents about the movie.
“On Halloween, my 4-year-old’s preschool class skipped nap time and instead let the kids watch the first Harry Potter movie (or rather half of it since it’s too long).
“The parents were not informed of this beforehand,” she said.
The mum said her son was so scared after watching the film.
He is constantly saying the “bad man will come and kill you” to his mum.
“His sleep has been crap and he’s been waking up at night which he usually never does.
The mum believes her son’s cold could be affecting his sleep, but believes the film is to blame.
His mum said she has no issues with him watching movies she doesn’t “personally select” but felt Harry Potter wasn’t suitable for his age.
She loves the franchise but said she wanted to wait another few years before introducing the films to her son.
“I don’t think it had ever occurred to him before that his parents could die and he’s extremely unsettled.”
“Ultimately I just wish that they had informed the parents that they were planning on showing the movie or something.”
Parents agreed that the preschool staff should have informed the parents about the movie. Others also agreed that it isn’t appropriate for four-year-olds.
