Last September, Jack Whitehall became a proud father when he and his girlfriend, Roxy Horner, welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Elsie.

Many of us have come to know and love the comedian and his father, Micheal, from watching their show, Jack Whitehall: Travels with My Father. The pair travelled across Asia and Europe for a six-part comedy documentary across five series.

After a two-year hiatus, the father-son duo are due to join forces once again in the upcoming series called Jack Whitehall: Fatherhood With My Father.

What is the series about?

Baby Elsie is the inspiration behind the duo’s new on-screen project.

Jack Whitehall: Fatherhood With My Father will follow the Whitehalls as Jack prepares to become a father for the first time.

The series will centre around their relationship as father and son as Jack adjusts to all of the changes happening in his life.

Michael, who is also readying himself for the birth of his next grandchild, will part with nuggets of wisdom, advice, and comical anecdotes from his own experience as a dad.

The pair will go in search of answers together to the endless list of questions about parenthood.

“As he prepares to become a dad, @jackwhitehall and his father @fatherwhitehall head out on a path of discovery and adventure as they try to crack the answers to parenthood’s endless questions,” Netflix wrote on the teaser for the show.

In the trailer, which dropped this week, Michael asks his son if he’s alright as Roxy is about to give birth any day.

“What advice would you give me for the actual birth?” the comedian asks his father, “Because that’s something I’m quite apprehensive about.”

To this, Michael responds: “I think the best advice I could give you is don’t, whatever you do, get down at the business end of things.

“What goes on down there is really nothing to do with you.

“I mean, your mother had a terrible…” Michael continues before Jack begs him not to discuss his mother giving birth.

Despite his pleas, the grandfather persists in sharing Jack’s birth story in great detail.

If the official clip for Jack Whitehall: Fatherhood With My Father is anything to go by, we’re in for a treat.
