In celebration of her birthday, actor Jamie Lee Curtis shared a beautiful post with photos of her and her mother over the years.
Janet Leigh, best known for her role in the iconic Psycho passed away in 2004 at the age of 77.
Jamie Lee has always spoken openly about her relationship with her mother Janet Leigh, even working with her on several films including The Fog and Halloween H20.
Curtis expressed that she missed getting to spend her birthday with her mother in a touching post today that she shared on her social media;
“Backwards through time. Thanks for my LIFE Mom.
For teaching me right from wrong. Law and (maybe too much ) order. For teaching me to say please and thank you and to be early and stay late and to write thank you notes and to wear a bra.
For putting on a happy face when you didn’t want to. For hooking up with Tony Curtis. For showing me how to be in a long, loving marriage.
For teaching me the greatest gift is to suit up and show up for others and to live a life of service.

Among the things that Jamie Lee thanked her mother for was hooking up with her father Tony Curtis.
Leigh and Curtis would eventually divorce in 1962 after 11 years of marriage but Jamie Lee is still grateful for the time they were together which created not only her but her sister Kelly.
Last month Jamie Lee and her own daughter Ruby made headlines after sharing their first public photo together since Ruby’s transition.
