“The stork is on the way”
Nick Cannon is set to become a dad for the ninth time.
The presenter confirmed the news on the Lip Service podcast.
Abby De La Rosa is pregnant with his ninth child.
Cannon was responding to claims he is expecting three children this year.
“When you say ‘on the way… ‘ What count are you at? Let’s just put it this way … the stork is on the way.”
He added, “If you thought it was a lot of kids last year…”
Cannon said being a father is so important to him.
Speaking to People, he shared: “I’m so excited about all my kids. Constantly, from every aspect of it. From them getting citizen of the month awards in the first grade to the birth of the new ones.”
“Every day I just wake up excited as a father,” he said.
Earlier this year, Cannon and Alyssa Scott lost their son Zen.
Their baby boy died from a brain tumour.
“Over the weekend I lost my youngest son to a condition called hydrocephalus that was pretty much a malignant, invasive midline brain tumor, brain cancer.”
Nick is currently awaiting the arrival of his eighth child with Bre Tiesi. Their baby is due in the coming weeks.
Nick and Abby De La Rosa’s baby is due in October.
