Síle is raising awareness for expectant-mums.

Síle Seoige is encouraging expectant-mums to always get checked if they’re concerned about their baby.

The soon-to-be mum-of-two is 38 weeks pregnant.

She revealed on Instagram that she was concerned about her baby girl so she headed to the Coombe Maternity Hospital for an emergency check-up.

The mum shared, “I ended up in the Coombe maternity hospital in the early hours of this morning due to worry.

“I thought baby was very quiet (as she is usually very active) but thankfully it was nothing to be worried about and I feel so thankful for that,” she confirmed.

Síle said we shouldn’t shy away from admitting our “vulnerabilities and fears” because discussing them can help others.

“The most important thing to remember is to do what feels right for you and those you love. That’s all that matters,” she stressed.

The mum continued, “So what if you overreact…isn’t it better to be on the safe side.”

She reminded pregnant people that the people in our maternity hospitals are there to help them.

It is so important to avail of their help, guidance, and expertise, especially if you’re feeling worried or concerned.

“Those who work in maternity services are there to help and the vast majority of them are wonderful so please don’t ever worry about putting someone out.”

She stressed that leaning on them doesn’t make you a hindrance or over the top.

As Síle said, it is better to be safe than sorry.

The presenter added, “Use your voice and speak up. You deserve to be heard.”

We couldn’t agree with her more. Reaching out for help is the best step if your gut is telling you something isn’t right.
