These are the 20 most popular baby names for 2018

Settling on the perfect name for your little one is tough.

You want it to be special and to perfectly suit them. But not so unique that they end up spelling it out for the rest of their lives.

But, also, you don’t want it to be so common that they will end up sharing a name with half of their classmates when they reach school-age.

So it’s easy to see why parents are pulling inspiration from just about everywhere as they try and settle on the perfect moniker for their little one.

Thankfully, once December hits, plenty of parenting sites put together a roundup of the most popular names of the year – which can be perfect inspiration if you’re having trouble finding the right name.

Now, American baby naming site, Nameberry, have put together a list of the most popular boy and girls names for 2018 – and there are definitely some interesting choices.

The site notes that there has been more of a movement towards more adventurous monikers, vintage revivals and just generally more unusual names.
