Nurse leaves important reminder for mums being weighed post-birth

Just lovely.

This is really sweet.

Mariah Kaitlyn Herrera put on some weight when she was pregnant with her baby.

Most women do.

However, when she went to the doctors to have her weight taken after giving birth, she was nervous about what the number on the scale would read.

As it turns out, Mariah needn’t have worried, because one of the nurses in the doctor’s office had taken it upon herself to leave a sweet and helpful reminder above the scales.

Mariah shared a picture of the note on Instagram, so everyone could see just how sound this nurse was.

The note reads:

“This scale will ONLY tell you the numerical value of your gravitational pull.

It will NOT tell you how beautiful you are, how much your friends and family love you, or how amazing you are!!

Love, your nurse :)”

Upon reading the note, Mariah said that it completely changed how she felt about stepping on the scale.

The new mum also suggested that all doctor’s offices should have something like this to make women feel a little better if they’ve been anxious about stepping on the scale after giving birth.

Mariah noticed the message in Charnelton Medical Clinic in Oregon.

We can only hope that other clinics elsewhere have been heeding her helpful advice.
