The leaves are turning golden, the weather is cooling down and there is no denying it anymore that autumn is well and truly here.

And just like we often switch up our wardrobes and even makeup looks for the new season ahead, many are also looking to switch up their fragrance to match the shift in season.

This autumn, the perfume industry have almost made it tricky for us to pick a new favourite, as we have spent the past few weeks sniffing and testing out so many gorgeous and innovative new fragrances, from sweet to smokey, floral and fruity.

So if you are in the mood for a new scent this autumn and winter – and want to know what to put on that wish list this holiday season, here is our pick of the seven best new fragrances right now:

1. Burberry Her Eau de Parfum

The gorgeous new fragrance from Burberry brings together the best of style and scent, and the bottle is so pretty, you’ll want it sitting out on your vanity for all to see. Bursting with red berry notes and a white woody accord, this is simply a really lovely smell, and one that will be popular with many, we predict.

2. Yves Saint Laurent Libre Eau de Parfum

Unequivocal YSL and all sorts of French and chic, the burning sensuality of the orange blossom flowers from Morocco, twisted with the aromatic boldness of lavender from France is like nothing you have ever smelled before. Lavender, traditionally used in male perfumery is given an ultra-feminine facet culminating in a couture-infused scent with a uniquely androgynous YSL attitude. Crafted by master perfumers Anne Flipo and Carlos Benaïm.

3. Giorgio Armani Si Passione Red Maestro

This bright and sensual perfume with scents of pink pepper, radiant pear and jasmine emits confidence, seduction, and strength. Best described as the red lip effect in a bottle, Sì Passione mirrors the same emotions and self-assurance that a swipe of red lipstick can instantly give the wearer.

4. Lancome Idôle Eau de Parfum

This new and ultra-feminine perfume from Lancome is sustainable and has activist Zendaya as the face of it. The bottle intself is almnost like a work of art, and we reckon this gorgeous scent will be a hit with many women this winter.

5. Gabrielle Chanel Essence

Inspired by and named after Gabrielle Chanel – better known as Coco, of course – this scent will no doubt be an immediate classic. Expect a vibrant and feminine fragrance, with tuberose, white flowers, jasmine, orange blossom and ylang-ylang – given extra depth by musk and sandalwood.

6. Mugler Angel Eau de Toilette

This new lighter, refined scent that is delicate, ultra-delicious and silky, and just a more youthful version, really, of the Angel fragrance we have known for years now.

The bottle is super-cute, and the new updates version an stand up by itself.

Top notes of mandarin and peony, middle notes of praline, berry and apple oil, and base notes of patchouli and warm blond wood.

7. Atelier Cologne Orange Sanguine

Perfect for those who want to extend that summer feeling, and are no way near ready for winter yet.

The  fresh scent of zesty elegance by Atelier Cologne is pretty much soft sea breezes and sunshine in a bottle, and this exceptional orange-scented perfume creation will make your imagination travel to sunny places, inviting you to sit under orange trees and explore the fruity nuances of nature.
