A mum-of-one took to the internet to enlighten parents with a hilarious story about her kid on her birthday.
The young girl turned 12 this week, and had lots of plans to celebrate the big day with friends and family.
There were a few hours to spare between birthday breakfast and the afternoon festivities, but the pre-teen didn’t want to watch TV or play with any of her gifts.
The mum wrote: “I told myself I wouldn’t make a post today, lol, but this is too funny to not share.”
Kicking off the story, she said: “My daughter turns twelve today. She’s having a great day – theres toys all over my house. We’re going to the petting zoo later (she’s going to spend the whole time trying to convice us to get chickens).
“We had our cake for breakfast, asked her what she wanted to do – watch a film, play with her new toys. You know, the usual. None of that, apparently.”
However, there was one game she did want to play that would make most kids squirm: “She wants to play dentist.’
Explaining why her child has such an interest in dentistry, she explained: “My husband is a dentist. He has the week off work and he was very happy to not be working.
“…he’s now giving our daughter a very thorough exam. And then she’s going to give him one.
“I’m cackling. Every time he asks if they’re done she informs him she’s not done yet. God. The love of a daddy. Lol.
“She’s having a great time and thats all that matters. Lol have a great day everyone!”
