Those who sleep on left side ‘more likely’ to have nightmares

HerFamily

Do you often wake up with a fright after a bad dream or perhaps your sleep is constantly interrupted by terrors (other than your children)? It could stem from the way you lie.

A study from 2004, recently quoted by The Huffington Post, revealed that those who sleep on their left side are more likely to have nightmares than those who sleep on their right side.

While the study only involved 63 people, it found that a much higher percentage of left-side sleepers experienced night terrors than right-side sleepers.

Speaking of bad dreams, not so long ago, The Sleep Matters Club (sponsored by Dreams) compiled a list of the most common ones. It included teeth falling out, being chased, falling and being naked in public.

We’d be lying if we said we hadn’t had all of those… think we might sleep on our right side tonight so… until the little ones come in of course!
