Bored? Here’s 3 virtual events to check out this Paddy’s Day

Jade Hayden

Happy St Patrick’s Day.

Chances are you’re not up to a whole lot this evening, and that’s fine, no one is.

But you needn’t be bored, because there are a whole host of fun and cool virtual events you can check out tonight to celebrate this Paddy’s Day a little differently.

We’ve put together a list of three of the best – all free, all happening today and tonight. Enjoy.

1. Live at the Storehouse

Hosted by radio presenter and DJ Tara Stewart, this live event will be streamed from the Atrium of the Storehouse, offering audiences around the globe a very rare chance to see how the home of Guinness can be used for a live performance.

The vent will include performances from band Pillow Queens, singer Gemma Dunleavy and spoken word poet and artist, Adam Mohammed. Dublin historian Donal Fallon will also join Guinness Archive Manager Eibhlin Colgan to take us on a story and fact filled virtual tour of Dublin’s most famous Liberties.

Live at the Storehouse kicks off today from 4pm. You can find out more here.

2. Solas x Soulé

The Paddy’s Day festival isn’t taking place in real life this year, but it is taking place online.

All this week until Wednesday night, viewers will be able to tune into SPF TV to check out a whole host of events, from the virtual parade earlier today, to live performances, to poetry readings, and more.

SPF TV is where viewers will be able to watch the above Guinness event, while also tuning into some other events like Solas’ Lighting Spectacular at 20:55 tonight, Soulé live at 9pm, and the Orchestra of Light at 9.30pm.

You can find out more here.

3. Self Love Uprising

Now, for something completely different.

Ready for some Paddy’s Day self love? Tonight, actor and activist Jameela Jamil will be joining the Millenial Therapist Sara Kubric over on The Body Shop’s Instagram page to chat all things self love and acceptance.

According to The Body Shop, we are in the midst of a self-love crisis which they seek to change through education, encouragement and involvement with a goal of hitting one million acts of self-love in 2021. This event could be one of them.

Self Love Uprising takes place at 8pm on @thebodyshop on Instagram.
