It’s back.
Jeremy Kyle is set to return to screens after almost three years since the show went off air.
After being axed back in May 2019, the show was forced to be taken off air when one guest, Steve Dymond, sadly passed away after appearing on the show a week before and failing his lie detector test.
Jeremy is currently working as a presenter on TalkRadio, and with the company set to launch a new TV channel called TalkTV on April 25th, it means the return of The Jeremy Kyle Show.
The radio station has had “fast growth” in recent years due to TV personalities taking over their radio slots, with Sharon Osbourne, Tom Newton Dunne, and Piers Morgan all presenting on the station.
Jeremy’s show is making a comeback only weeks after Channel 4 aired a documentary called Death on Daytime, where former staff from the show came forward alleging toxic backstage behaviour.
The anonymous staff made claims of bear-baiting to lies which some even claimed they had been “brainwashed” during their time working on the show.
Speaking about the documentary on his radio show, Jeremy said that he wouldn’t discuss his cancelled show at all until all legal proceedings surrounding Steve Dymond’s death has been carried out.
He said: “When – and trust me, there will be a time after the inquest, when it is right and proper for me to have my say, because there are of course two sides to every single story – I will do it here and I will do it to you, and that is the most important thing.”
The 56-year-old also told The Sun that he had fallen into depression after his show was cancelled, and felt abandoned by many of his famous friends.
Jeremy said: “I’m not asking for any sympathy, but being completely honest, yes, it was a very difficult time. It didn’t take long for some people I’ve known for many, many years to just disappear.
“Some people were brilliant — Piers Morgan reached out straight away because he’s that sort of guy, and he was brilliant.”
