Lord Mayor of Dublin calls on all young Dubliners for Cruinniú na nÓg 2019

Do you have a creative child that would love to take part?

Lord Mayor of Dublin, Nial Ring is calling on the kids of the capital to fire up their imaginations and take part in Cruinniú na nÓg.

The children will be able to take part in one of the 33 free events programmed by Dublin City Council, on Saturday 15th June 2019.

‘Get your kids and get involved’ is the message from Dublin City Council which has devised a huge programme of free family fun events including everything from puppeteering, performance, coding, dance, theatre, art and music workshops, fabric printing, readings, film screenings and much more.

Events are free, local and activity-based. Now in its second year, Cruinniú na nÓg celebrates and encourages participation by young people in creative activities in their local communities.

Led by Dublin City Council, with huge support from local artists, arts organisations, creative practitioners and community festivals, the Dublin city programme has a strong emphasis on participation with activities designed to spark an interest and encourage the inner creative in children to try something new or fulfil a secret ambition!

 

Events during the festival will include:

  • Fergal is Fuming with the London Symphony Orchestra Ensemble.
  • Hapa-Zome Eco Fabric Printing.
  • Paul Timoney and Juliette Saumande – Storytime For All.
  • Kids Curate and Code Workshop.
  • Music from Unsung Youth.
  • Jonathan Swift’s Gulliver’s Travels.
  • Viking Invasion Workshop.
  • Oscar Wilde’s Children’s Stories. and much, much more!
